Sonam Kapoor won’t kiss her Mausam co-star Shahid Kapoor and was shocked when she was asked to do so at the last minute, during the Scotland schedule.

It took her completely unaware as there had been no talk of any kissing scene when she signed on. She was never told that there would be a liplock with Shahid. No mention of it was made even during the detailed script narrations.

Says a unit source, “Sonam was taken aback when the director (and co-star Shahid’s dad Pankaj) told her about it. She flatly refused.”

There was high drama on the sets with Pankaj frantically calling Sonam’s dad Anil in desperation to save the situation. But the actress was adamant.

Adds the source, “It was at Shahid’s behest that a kissing scene was created. He put forth the idea to his father who complied with his request. Shahid feels that like Aamir Khan he, too, should kiss all his heroines. He felt it would add more passion to the scene.”

Sonam maintains, “There was no kissing scene in Mausam. It’s complete fabrication that I refused to do such a scene.”

But the source says, “When Sonam realised that it was her hero’s demand, she became even more adamant about not doing the kiss and was in no mood to listen to anyone on the subject.”

Incidentally, Sonam kisses Abhay Deol in her home production Aisha which releases this week. Shahid has locked lips with Kareena Kapoor (Jab We MetKaminey) and Anushka Sharma (Badmaash Company).

Rumours of a romance brewing up between Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor just refuse to die down. Even though it’s been months since they stepped out together in public, latest buzz in tinsel town says they had a secret date in London this week.

Katrina, as you must all know by now, has been in Spain to shoot for director Zoya Akhtar’s film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and took some time off from work last Sunday to be with her family in London for a week.

Call it coincidence or discreet pre-planning, but Ranbir Kapoor flew to London during the week to shoot for an ad. With the two flames together in London, rumourmongers are saying that it couldn’t have been that they did not meet.

Whether they did or not is still a matter of speculation, Katrina is, meanwhile, flying back to Spain to resume the film’s shoot, while Ranbir has already flown to South Africa to continue the ad’s shoot.

So, recently, when her parents visited her on the sets of the film, for a moment they couldn’t believe that it was their daughter Priyanka Chopra who was looking like an old lady with wrinkles all over.

In her film SAAT KHOON MAAF, Priyanka plays all the different stages of a woman’s life from age 18 to 65 years. So, all those guys who have a soft corner for this babe, they can take heart that Priyanka’s wrinkles are not real at all.

Katrina Kaif is completely nonchalant about security, and goes wherever she pleases without giving a second thought to the probable consequences.

Also, the boy had no problems doing a lip lock with Priyanka in Kaminey. Well, my little birdie informed that things were going little out of hands on the sets of Badmaash Company. Director Parmeet Sethi was not really happy with the way Shahid and Anushka were doing the kissing scene.

But what happened next almost created chaos on the sets. Just after the take, both Shahid and Anushka disappeared and worst, they were not even answering their cell phones. We understand it is kind of weird to rehearse akissing scene in front of the entire crew and the crew thought they might have chosen to rehearse privately. When they returned after two hours, they said they had just gone to a bookstore nearby. The Beginners Guide to Kissing may be that’s the book they went to find.

Although the incident left Sethi furious, he was a happy man when the two did a perfect lip lock in the next shot.

As if Ranbir breaking li’l Dip’s heart was not enough…now the entire Kapoor clique has hopped on to the ‘anti-Deepika’ bandwagon. The long-legged beauty who had been facing the wrath of Ranbir’s parents is now on the hit-list of others in the clan too.

Recently, Dabooji had thrown a gala party for the cast of Sajid Khan’s Houseful. The entire cast was invited but baby Dips was nowhere to be seen.

Randhir Kapoor maintains that all the three ladies from the film namely Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Deepika Padukone, were not invited as they were out of town, but sources confirm to a daily that Deepika was the only one who did not make the cut.

‘Ghajini’ fame actress Asin Thottumkal has turned down animal welfare group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) request to promote vegetarianism. She said she is a hardcore non-vegetarian and, therefore, it would be unfair to accept the offer.

‘After I entered the film industry, I restricted my non-veg diet to fish and chicken. I can’t, however, remain without non-veg food even for a single day. Therefore, it won’t be proper for me to involve myself in the campaign against non-vegetarian food,’ said Asin.

From time to time, PETA ropes in celebrities and puts them in the forefront of its campaign to popularise vegetarian food habits. Aishwarya Rai and Manisha Koirala are among the few Bollywood actors who have lent their support to the campaign.
